How to delete your Elephant account

Go to Profile → Security → Delete Account and confirm with your password. Your account and study data are permanently deleted. This can’t be undone.

Before you delete

1. Download your data if you want a copy: export your data.
2. Subscriptions: deleting your account cancels any active subscription at Lemon Squeezy first, so renewal stops. If the cancellation cannot be confirmed, the account is not deleted and you see an error; try again or contact us. Access you already paid for ends with the account.

Steps

1. Sign in and go to Profile → Security.
2. Under Delete Account, select Delete Account.
3. Enter your password and select Confirm Delete.

What happens afterwards

• Your account, sessions and the study data tied to it are removed from the database immediately. We cannot restore them.
• You are signed out everywhere and get a confirmation email.
• Some records are kept for a limited time where required, such as audit logs, and Lemon Squeezy keeps payment records under tax rules. See the privacy policy for retention periods.
• You can register again later with the same address, but as a new, empty account.
