How to export or download your data from Elephant

Use Profile → Data to download a ZIP of your personal data (once an hour) or an Anki file of your studied vocabulary.

Open Profile → Data and select Download My Data for a full copy of your data as a ZIP archive.

  1. Sign in and go to Profile → Data.
  2. Select Download My Data. A file named elephant-data-export-<date>.zip downloads.

What is in the archive

JSON files with your profile, login sessions (without tokens), vocabulary progress, review history, translation, production, pronunciation, listening and other practice attempts, saved sentences, worksheets, classes, courses, feedback and reports, subscription history, and manual access changes. A manifest.json and a README.md describe each file.

Payment references are not included. Lemon Squeezy holds those.

Limits

  • You can download one archive per hour. A second attempt within the hour is refused; try again later.
  • The archive reflects your account at the moment you download it.

Export for Anki

Select Download Anki Deck on the same page for a text file of your studied vocabulary. Import it into Anki 23.10 or newer. Importing it again updates cards instead of duplicating them.
